Iasi National Military Museum

The Iași National Military Museum is located in Copou, in the building of the Military Circle (former headquarters of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1916-1918), opposite the Military Emergency Hospital (former School of Sons of Soldiers) and in the immediate vicinity of the University, , Alexandru Ioan Cuza ”, and of the Romanian Academy - Iași Branch.
Two other buildings in the vicinity evoke the crucial role of the city in the First World War: Cantacuzino-Pașcanu Palace, former headquarters of the 4th Army Corps Command, and in the years of the refuge in Iași, residence of Queen Maria (currently Children's Palace), Professor George Bogdan's House , where in 1916 -1918 the head of the French Military Mission, General Henri Mathias Berthelot, resided.
In the museum you will find unique exhibits, within the permanent exhibition on the Evolution of military structures in the Iasi garrison and the area of Moldavia from 1830 until now. You can also visit the Romanian Army's Contribution Hall to the establishment and defense of the Great Union, where the role of Romanian troops in restoring internal order in Bessarabia, Bukovina and Transylvania and the defense of the Great Union from December 1, 1918 is also highlighted. Militar Iași is home to the permanent static exhibition of ground and anti-aircraft artillery, which currently includes 16 pieces of ground and anti-aircraft artillery from the endowment of the Romanian Army during 1914-2018.
